10 Steps to a Winning Grant Proposal
- Be knowledgeable about your project.
- Be prepared to explain how your project will benefit the Mackinaw community.
- Write clearly and get to the point.
- Provide enough information for the Foundation to see the big picture.
- Plan to raise money from another source and be able to share on your application how your organization will fund the project.
- Budget should be accurate financial representation of the project. Do your research!
- Ask others to read your grant application. A good proposal should be clear to those not familiar with your project.
- Build upon the assets in the community.
- Provide all the documentation showing that your organization is eligible to receive a grant.
- Include a project timeline.
